Baptism Service and the end of Galatians

We were very encouraged to see four new Christians giving testimony to their faith through Baptism this Sunday.

They all expressed a desire to follow Jesus, a recognition of His leading in the life, and a clear turning point to which they could refer.

To add to these good things, three of the candidates were from one family, being baptised just a matter of a few months after another immediate family member came to faith. In the space of what seems to us a short time, we can see the plan of God worked out from the beginning bringing Mum, Dad, and the two eldest children to faith, and we look to God for the two younger ones who we will be lifting up in prayer in the coming days.

The fourth candidate was the younger of my two sons who I had the joy of being midwife to his new birth in the last few weeks, I have now been blessed with baptising all our four and words cannot describe my thanks to God for His wonderful grace!

During the service I preached from Acts 2 to the many friends and regulars who came to celebrate with us, and we followed the service with an excellent lunch to which many stayed. You can hear the message here: Hear, Grasp, and Do. Acts 2.

In the evening we met and opened the book of Galatians 6:6-18 and concluded our series from the book that has changed the face of the World through it’s message of simple Gospel grace. You can hear the message here: The Mark of Jesus.
