This evening at 7:30 we are beginning our services for Easter with some time thinking about the meal our Lord ate with His disciples the night He was betrayed, the Last Supper, which is the basis for our communion meal with Him also.
We are reading Exodus 12, Luke 22 and 1 Corinthians 11.
There will be some food to taste, some music to sing and above all some time to consider the glory of the Messiah. Everyone welcome.
Tomorrow morning at 10.00 we meet for Good Friday to consider Jesus’ last words: It is finished!
This morning we finished what has been many months of work reading through, and applying the message of the Book of Exodus to our lives. The great themes of the book, God as saviour, lawgiver, and lord have been a privilege to give time and prayer to over this time. At today’s service we had reports from those who attended the Bristol Men’s convention yesterday, and news from John Ikin’s induction at Union Chapel Bath. We also had the joy of fellowship with Stuart and Chew Chern Morgan of Crossings Church, Singapore. On a sadder note we had to say farewell to Jack, who has been on work experience with us this week. His visit has been a real help.
