Looking at ‘difficult’ parts of the Bible

As a general rule we do not believe that we should skirt the parts of the Bible that might at first appear less straight forward to us than others. All scripture is equally inspired, so we seek to find what God would say to us through the whole Bible, not just our favourite bits.

One section many find difficult is the ancient Laws God gave Israel. Following is an example of this from Exodus 21:28 to the end of chapter 22 which I was speaking on the Sunday evening of May 13th.

I entitled the sermon – Your Kingdom come, taken from the phrase found in the prayer the Lord Jesus used as a basis for all Christian prayer.
